4 The annual exhibition of stock, dairyproduce, _c., in connection with theClutha Agricultural and Pastoral Society, will be held to-morrow. Somearticles upon the subject and correspondence by the ablest writers of the day have of late been published in ourcolumns, and we do not know that any w ords^ of ours are necessary in order toindicate the . benefits to be derived by stockowners and . others from such exhibitions. We would not for a moment assume the dictatorial in connection with this matter, but we cannot helppointing out that in our opinion, and? also in that of agriculturists throughout the colony generally,, there is no more favored locality in New Zealand than* the Clutha for a good central stock exhibition. It however) depends upon v the neighboring settlers themselves tosay whether their annual show will takethe lead in such exhibition in thecolony or not. It has- notr hithertodone so. From present, indicationsthere is good, evidence, that the Showof to-morrow will prove the best hithertoheld in the district, and we i trust thia; will only prove a precursor of the futureof the Society, and of the district;
