Dbiyer, Stewabx & Co. report :— Fat Cattle.— Again only a moderate supply bf 90 head were yarded at the weekly sale. , The trade, having no supply on hand, bid spiritedly for every pen offered,. at prices in advance. on our late quotations. .Best "bullocks, brought from Ll4 to Ll9 each • one extra lot realised L2l ios ; best cows, irom LU to LIS each. We sold 35 head; including the first draught from the celebrated herd of John Anderson,' Esq., Wyndham Station, which averaged Lls 13s all over for cowa and bullocks. * Fat Calves. —Only about 10 were penned, and sold at from 328 6d to 555, -for medium quality. Fat Sheep.— Only 675 halt-bredß were-penned, all of which were sold at extreme rates. The trade ! being entirely outof supply.mediiim quality crossbreds .brought 2Ss; good quality up to 32s 6d. We have sold privately SQO cross breds at full rates. We quote present value of prime-cross-bred mutton, from od to 5Jd per lb ; do merino, 4Jd tO sd. The price of fat sheep, however, like cattle, must become more easy aa the season advances. ■ ■ Fat Lambs.— We have during the week sold for forward delivery 1350 at from 10s <jd to lis. Store, Cattje. — A good demand continues for good well-grown bullocks and -cows; tUree to five years old, at say from L4 los for the former, and L 3 10s to ,L 4 10s for the latter. Mixed herds are saleable at ■from 50s to L 3. . Store SHeep.— There is a good demand for young merino ewes, deliverable -after shearing, and for cross-breds, four-tooth and upwards, delivered -in the wool, at from 12s to 15s ; hoggets and two-tooth, Us 6d.to 13s; merino wethers, two, four, and sixtooth, at from 8s 6d to 0s od. We. have sold of | various sorts 1200, at quotations. ' ' ' Wool— Advices by the Otago at Bluff, 13th inst*. dating London, 3rd October, report :— The wool sales nave closed firm, the advance at the opening having been maintained throughout the series. The bulk has been taken by /home buyers, dhd 120,000 bales tor export,*" including 400 ft' bales for' America. The next sales are.fiXed for November 17, Messrs. BalMe and Co V brokers, report prospects " favorable and estimate the increased import during the year at 100,000 bales.", At our. usual weekly sale this day, we offered.a number of odcl lots of wool, all of which we disposed df nt satisfactory -prices."
