They had an interview of an hour and a half, and submitted resolutions which hed been passed at a meeting ! held the night. before relative to theirinability to obtain employment at theTrates ot wages promised them before leaving home, and also as to the treatment they had received at the Immigration Barracks since their arrival. The Secretary told them to draw up a petition for transmission to Wellington, and he would do all he could for them in the meantime.
