Personal. Misses Jean and Noeline Bevan, of Domain Road, are holidaying' in Napier., • Mr. and Mrs. I. Mclvor, of Tasman Beach, are on a motor trip up the East Coast. Youth Camp. Some sixty members of the Young People's Club, Wellington, are ehcamped in the Otaki Maori Racing Club's buildings at the Otaki racecourse. Rain, Rain, Go Away. Two district residents who have recently returned after covering some 500 miles during a four-day visit to the East Coast on a motorcyele advises that water restrictions and fire breaks throughout the area are in marked .contrast to the very wet cohditions which have been experienced in this district during the past seven days. Bowlers Reach Finals. In post-section play in the annual Christmas fours bowling tournament conducted by the Wellington Bowling Centre the Otaki rink comprising W. Wilson, M. J. McGilligan, R. S. Purvis and A. Baker (s) won their games in all three rounds and are included in the four rinks to reach the finals. Post-section scores were as foilows: — First round, v. Smith (Raumati South), won 28—17; second round, v. Douglas' (Raumati South) won 23—19; third round, v. Wells (Hataitai) , won 19—14. * Domain Busy Next Month. Ample variety appears to be in store for residents of Otaki and district next month. In addition to weekly sports meetings each Wednesday, and cricket matches on most Saturdays, the annual meeting of the Otaki Amateur Athletic and- Cycling Club will take place on January 7. On the following Saturday, the Manawatu Marching Centre will hold its annual championships, and the following weekend again, Monday, January 23, the Otaki-Rahui Greyhound Club proposes holding a race meeting on the domain.
