Disappointment that the migfant ship Atlantis did iiot reaeh Fremaiitle earlier was expressed by Mr. Eric Holrojrd, a membef of the British cyeling team for the Empire Games at Auckland. The ship berthed last eveuing just too late to allow HolrOyd to bofrow a cycle and limber up with a ride from Fremaiitle to Perth and return. Accompanying him on that ride would have been his fiaiieefe, Miss Rosalind Solomon, aged 21, who is chafiipioii of the Twentyninth- Women 's Cyeling Clnb, London, and has taken part in various British traek events. They are bound for New Zealand as assisted migrants.' Forinerly a typist iii London, Miss Solomon has a job waiting for her as a sewing maehinist iii Auckland. ' ' I was oifered a pos't as typist in a Government office in Wellington, but 1 wanted a job in Auekland to be near EriC during his triining for the Ganies,-" she said. ..?.•!> -■ After the Games/ Hjolrpyd, who is 53, hopes to find-a position in Auckland as a mechanic. He has been in competitive cyeling for 13 years, eoncentrating iiiostly on long distanee r^cing.
