Personal Mr. Dick Roach, of Lake Alice, Wanganui, son of Mrs. W. Roach, Waerenga Road, is paying a holiday visit to Otaki. Mr. Ian. Smith, son, of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Smith, Tasman Beach, is on holiday leave from the Naval Training Base, Tamaki, and is visiting 'his parents. Hunter Shield Leadersy The points scored in the opening series at Shannon on Tuesday night in the Hunter Shield athletic competition were announced at Wednesday's sports meeting- in Otaki as follows: Otaki 80, Levin 71, Shannon 28 and Foxton 5. The second night will be held at Otaki on Wednesday, January .11.
