Two Men In Hospital As Result Of Accident

Twq men received injuries necessitating their removal to hospital when a car and a van were inVolved in an accident on the bend in the main road just over the Fitzherbert Bridge sho'rtly after one o'clock on Wed- , nesday morning. They were John Albert Henry Sehwass, 70-year-old farmer of Tokomaru, and Joseph William Oraham, aged 30, employed by the State Hydro-Electric Department. Mr. Sehwass was driving a car and Mr. Oraham was driving the van when the accident occurred and appafentiy the- force of the impact knocked the van into' the grass on the left hand side of the roadway. The extent of their injuries is not known but it is believed they are not ,very serious. The condition of both was reported as satisfactory last night.
