Agricultural Club Trophies Presented
At . the/ end-of-year ceremony held at the Shannon School last Thursday afternoon the opportunity was taken to present the trophies won in the .recent judging of lambs and calves of the Boys' and Girls' Agricultural Club. Janice Bradey was awarded the Meat Exporter Cup, Rose Bowl, for first in care and attention and the shield for first yearling ahd certificates. Ashley Bowler reeeived the Dairy Compdny Cup for the best all-round calf and certificates for the best dairy type and second in care and attention. Elaine Barber was awarded the shield for first in the two-year-old and certificates. The cup for first in junior care and attention was awarded to Ian Hook, who also reeeived a eertifieate. Beverley Collis reeeived' the* perpetual challenge cup for first award in the local lamb competition and certificates for calf and lamb rearing. Certificates for first, second and third awards in the lamb competition were presented to Robyn Tippler, Judith Tippler and Brian Free. ' Other awards went to Noeline Taylor, second junior- care and attention (calf) : Allan Bradey, third care and attention (calf), second yearling and third twp-year-old; Beverley Miers, thifd senior care and attention; Barbara Mason, third yearling; Alan Miers, second two-year-old; Margaret Wylie^jfirst in home gardens; BrucJ^fcppler, second in home gard|^Bf Tony Pope third in home gaPRns.
