Seeing Germany Forgets About War
Received Sunday 7 p.m. BONN, Dec. 17. The text was issued last night of t'ne new law signed by the Allied High lommissioners earliev in the day, t'or the continued demilitarisation of Western Germany and the elimination of nazism. It reiterates the Oecupying Powers ' determination to see tliat Germany develops alohg peaceful lines and ■ontinues the prohibition of any activity which teaches direetly or indirectly ihe theory, principles or technique of war, or is intended to prepare for any warlike activity or to foster the re emfergency of militarism. It also pro- ' hibits, unless expressl'y authorised by the High Commission, the manufacturo, sale, distribution, possession or use of any article or device with the intention of facilitating any of these. aeti vities. Military and national Socialist organisations also remain prohibted as well as organisations which requiri. their members to be war vpterans. Penalties for infringement include imprisonment for life or. a line not exceeding 100 marks or both.
