Received Tuesday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 137 Wedding night for Jean Tellier and his bloftde farmer's daughter, was the noisest ever known in the Picardy village of Beaueourt sur Ancre, says the Daily Mail's Paris eorrespondent. The trouble was that Jean sidestepped the ancient village custom of asking the principal residents ih to Jrink the bride 's health. As a result 30 of the village 's 90 people surrounded his house on the wedding night. They sang rude songs, banged 'tins and shouted. A& customary in France, the religious part of the wedding was held next dav — the day after 'the cix il ceremonv. Jean and his bride found the church porch and inferior festooned with rabbitskins, carrots, torn trousers, skirts.and Aveexls. T'nen the bellringers found the bell ropes cut. Jean has sued the leaders of the demonstrations for £120 damages. Two of the defendants are Beaueourt 's Mayor and his son.
