Artist Hit By Train While Sketching
NAPIER, Dec. 11. - An artist who was on tlie railway line a mile nortli of the Eskdale station while she was making a sketch at 5.30 last evening was struek by a southbound goods train and received headinjuries and concussion. . She is Mrs. Rachel Turner, wife of Mr. Alexander Turner, 'manager of Belmount station, Havelock North. Mrs. Turner, who was staying with . her brother at Eskdale, was carried to the nearest levdl crossing on a jigger and was brought into the Napier Public Hospital by .ambulanee. Her condition was reported to be serious.
