Mt. H. L. Barber, of Main Street, accohipanied by Mr. W. H. Ralph, is visiting Masterton on.account of the death of his brother, which occurred suddenly on Sunday. Mr. W. McEwan, of Kirk Street, who journeyed to Mosgiel to attend the funeral of the -young la'd, Vivian Sinnamon, who met his death last week as' the result of a fall from a horse, is expected' to return to Otaki today. ' Mr. J. Moki, a visitor from Raetihi residing 'temporarily in Otaki,who suffered concussion t-hrough a fall from his bicycle when attemping to evade a small child in. Mill Road recently, has heen discharged after a week in hospital. Freedom Regained. Elated wMh- their s'uccess, two well known pig-hunters returned at the weekend with a nice plump sucking pig each. A sty Which had not been used for a long time was thought the ideal place to top off the •eatch, but to their utter dismay a visit to feed the captives revealed that t-hey had other ideas and had taken their departure for parts unknown.
