New Class Rooms At School Near Completion
Now well on the way to completion, the" new bUilding to provide additional accommodation for the pri'mer classes- at the Levin School will prove a valuable addition to thb school buildings. Designed along the most moderfi- lines for such' buildings, it is completely self con'fcained, having its own wash-hand basins and cloak room. Low black boards are provided right round both the class rooms with higher teachers'_ boards at one end. The windows" ar'C alhidst to' floof levei, beihg so cohstru'Cted to alloW fof" the majdniufn of sunlight an'd fresh air and provided1 with gUUrds against draugh'ls. They occupy / onb Complete side of the structure. As a safety measure, all electric light switches and hot points are well ahove the reach of the grop- ■ ing hands of small children. The contractors have completed the • carpentry work and- wili behanding, over to the painters soon. The desks and other joinery'.fittings are expected to arrive from Wellington within the next few" weekS and the building will beopen for the first term next year.
