American Circles Globe In Record Time

f Received Thursday, 9.24 a.m. NEW YORK, Dec. 7. The American aviator, Thomas Lanphier, girdled the globe by commercial airlines in the record time of 119 hrs. 47 mins. He arrived at La Guardia Airport this afternoon, having travelled by scheduled airlines throughout the journey. Colonel Eddie Eagan, chairman of the New York Boxing Commission, held the previous record of six days three hours-. Mr. Lanphier described the feat as. a "peace. mission" commemorating the 46th anniversary ' of Wright BrotherS',,pibneer flight at Kittyhawk, North Garolina. Mr. Lanphier stopped at Gander, London, Brussels, Damascus, Basra, Karachi, Delhi, Calcutta, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Okinawa, Tokio, Midway Island, Honolulu, San Francisco and Chicago.
