SYMBOL OF BRITISH RULE OFF INDIAN HOUSE
Received Tuesday, 9.20 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 5. The United Press' JSTew Delhi correspondent states that the golden crown on the top of the Indian Parliament Building in New Delhi, the symbol of British rule. was taken down by workmen today. it will be replaced by a replica of India's historic Asoka pillar, surmounted by three lions. The crown, weighing a quarter of a ton, is made of bronze, overlaid with gold leaf, was installed in 1946. It will probably be given to a fcuuseuni. .. .
