Ohau School Calf Club Competition Results
; Although the number of entries : in the Ohau School calf club com- • petition, which was held last , Monday, were not as many as , those experienced in previous years, the quality of the exhibitf s was far abo.ve normal. The competitions attracted a large gathering of parents an*d friends. The chief judge was Mr. A. M Scott and assisting him were Messrs Port and Smith. Representing the Horowhenua Boys' anc Girls' Agricultural Club were Mr C. H. Arcus and Mr. and Mrs. R : W. Evans. The steward was Mr E. Pilgrim. At the conclusion oi • the judging the visitors were r shown, an exhibition of sohoo! , work and treated to afternoon tea !• Results were as follows: — Calves: — Senior, eare and attention: Gavin Kidd 1, Barrj ■ Burnell 2, Roger Horn 3. ; Junior, care and attention: i Gwylfa Horn 1, Douglas Kidd 2 ; Henry Bowling 3. Dairy type: l Gavin Kidd. l Yearlings: Roger Horn. ' Mrs. J. G. Horn's cup, open te both classes and. judged on care - attention and dairy type was wor i by Gavin Kidd.
