Chancellor Against Forming German Army

Received Monday, 10 a.m. BONN, Dec. 4, The West German Chancellor, Dr. Konrad Adenauer, said today that he would favour a German contingent -within a West European armed force if it should become necessary, but he opposed the formation of a Gerrnah ..Atmy. He was opposed in principle to any militarisation of the West German Republic. "We Germans have shed too much blood in the last two World Wars and have now too few men to carry out such a project. West German securitv is a matter for Ihe Allied Occupation Forces."
