YOUNG BOY KILLED BY CAR

AUCKLAND, Dec! 4.* A boy was killed when he was run over by a motor car in Domihion Road, Balmoral, on Saturday afternoon. He was: Anthony richard vear, aged three years, son»of Mr, and Mrs, h. w. d. Vear, of Walters Road, Mount Albert. The child was crossing the road in front of a stationary fire engine which had been called to a fire in a vacant section, when he was struck by a car driven by Dr. V. B. McGeorge, of Mount Eden Road. The accident was witnessed by the boy's mother. Dr. McGeorge immediately took- the child to the Auckland Hospital but he was dead on arrival.
