Absent-Minded.
A lost child was found crying in the children's department of a large city store in Auckland. Despite calls over frhe loudspeakers nobody claimed him. Just before the store elosed for the day a woman ruished in and asked if a child had been found. She lived on the North Shore, she said, and while shopping had left the boy playing in the children's department. Then* in a hurry to catch a ferry,- she had gone home without him. /£t was not until she had crossed the harbour that she remembered him. 'Tm a foit absent-mxnded,"- shesaid.
