Labour Cabinet To Resign Next Week
WELLIN GTON, Dee. 2. The Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) ;today called on the Governor-Gen'eral (Sir Bernard Freyberg) and advised him that resignationa from the Labour ' Cabinet would be placed in his handsi 31 probably about next Wednesday. If the usual procedure is followed the Governor-General will ask Mr Fraser and his Ministers to carry on the adminis.tration pf the eountry until the new Ministers are sworn in. This is expeeted to take place next Friday or early the following week, and the reins of office will then ba handed over. At no time will the eountry be without a Government. National Party members are likely to be called to Wellington early next week for a caueus. Probably a Labour Party caucus will also be called at an early date.
