Joh-n Bertram Grey, of Arapaepae- Road, Levin, which occurred in a Palmerston North private hpspi-tal this morning after a brief illness-, will come as a painful sh.ock to his many friends in Levin an.d Lower Hutt. Mr. Grey came to Levin severalyears ago from Hutt Valley, where he had resided for a considerable period. A chartered electriQal erigineer by profession, he heid a responsible senior executiv.e position with one of the largest authorities in New Zealand for nearly- 20 years He took an active interest in J ^

educational ma'tters and was a past governor of the Hutt Valley High School and a past president of its, parents' association. He served for a fime on the executive of the Wellington R.S.A. and durfrtg the war years was president of the Hutt Valley R.S.A, A maia body sold.icr of World War I, Mr. G:rey- served throughout the qampaigns. on Gallipoli and the Continent. He was a Justice of the Peace. At the time of his death, Mr. Grey was secretary to the Insfcitute of Electric Supply Authorities' Engineers of New Zealand..
