Back-Seat Drivers In U.N. Warned
Received Thurs&av 7 p.m. LONDON, Dee. 1. A warning to "back-seat drivers" of United Nations to keep their hands off . British colonies, was given last night by Lord Listowel in the Lords. He deciared that United Nations had no mere right even to advise Britain about the Ipolipy she must pursue in her colonies than to tell her how to rnn the nation al health serviee. Lord Listowel was cheered from all parts of the House when he denounced 'the "attempt at back-seat driving by 58 nations'.' which seemed to be trying to interfere with British eolonial administration all along the Ine. Many Peers referred with disquiet to the. attempt by United Nations' trusteeship council to lav down conditions for territories which inelnded the flving of United Nations' flag albngside the Union Jack.
