In the country pennant games Otaki met Waikanae at the weekend. Petone Central sent eight rinks to Otaki at the weekend for the annual contest between these two clubs for the Centaki Cup. Each ciub won four games, with Otaki shading the visitors on poinis. Mr. E. T. Bartosh extended a cordial welcome to the visitors, iriforhiing them that they' would flnd the home rinks playing good •bowls and wishing them all good bowling.
