Fire Board Meeting. The next quarterly meeting of the Otaki Fire Board will be held in the Fire Station on Wednesday, December 14. Cars For Voters. An advertisement advising electors where to ring if they require . transport to enable them to vote appears in today's advertising coiumns. Sports As Usual. Provided the weather conditions permit, the weekly sports meeting to fee held in the Otaki Domain will take place as usual tomorrow evening. Absent Voters' Booth. Visitors desiring to exercise their vote on Wednesday are advised that a special toooth for absentee votes will be available at the Otaki School. Some Sbops Closing. The secretary of the Otaki Commercial Association advises that members are invited to close their business premises from 1 p.m. tomorrow on account of the general election. Pleasant Outing. Thanks to- the generosity of Messrs A. W. Allen Ltd., Mrs. W. McBeth and Messrs Alan AMworth and J. S. Ballinger, patients at the Otaki Sanatorium were given an outing by -bus recently. The outing, as usual, was organised by members of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers and visits to the Paraparaumu aerodrome, beaches and places of interest were made. Afternoon tea was also a feature of the arrangements.
