WELLINGTON, Nov. 25.. The New Zealand Cup meeting will be continued at Riccarton tomorrow when the three chief events on the card will be the N.Z. Oaks Stakes, Metropolitan Handicap and the Jockey Club Handicap in which horses that ran well on the first day are engaged. Favourite for the Metropolitan Handicap is Liebestraum, which ran a gpreat second in the Cup last week, with solid support also for Billy Mac, Maryburn, Renowned aiid Eriskay. There will be solid support f'or Sweet Sprhy in the fillies' classic and Magical is the ruling choice for the' Jockey Club Handicap. Although rain fell early in the week at Riccarton it did not affect the track-, which will be firm tomorrow. Other meetings tomorrow are the opening day of Woodville, Te' Aroha' and the concluding day of the Wellington trots at Hutt Park, where the high standard of racing last week looks like being repeated. i

The' shorier distance will be more to his liking. It was only over the last furlong that Maryburn surrendered the lead in the Cup. Judiciously handled tomorrow Maryburn should keepi the favourite division busy to hold him from collecting the main end of the stake. Liebestraum looks well afte'r his Cup effort as also does Renowned, both of whom are expec-ed to repeat Cup form. There is a strong whisper in the south for the lightweight Billy Mac. Magical is expected to show the Jockey Club Handicap field £ clean pair of heels to the judge, but if Ballochmyle and Pierre are better suited in the running they should keep the favourite busy, particularly Ballochmyle who will be suited by the. mile. The field is a strong one and open to asurprise. Large fields are engaged at Woodville where the Bolton Handicap has drown a magnificent field in which Voltaic, if he runs up to last week's form is not without bright prospects. Others likely are Leyma, Blue Seal, Opulent, Beau Bijou ahd Plying Dink. Fine weather will again prevaL for the last day of the Wellington Trots at which some of the best pacers will be racing. Prospects for Riccarton, Woodville, Te Aroha and Wellington Trots are: —
