Calf And Lamb Judging At Te Horo
The annual calf and lamb judging at Te Horo was held on Monuay. Despite wet weather, there was a good attendance of parents and interested friends. ' Entries were satisfactory in numbers, aithough not quite up to former years. The quality, however, left little to be desired and the judge, Mr. R. L. Robinson, of Manakau, and his associates, Messrs Buchanan and Nicholson, had an unenviable task in selecting the winners. 1 Results are as follows: — Yearlings: Paul Faith 1, Ken Hayward 2. Three entries. Junior calves, care and attention. — Ron Johnson 1, Ken Hayward 2, Olive Cocker 3. Seven entries. Dairy type. — Anne Walker 1. Senior care and attention. — Pat Bradbury 1, Rosemary Mansell 2, Shirley Cobb 3. Thirteen enxries. Dairy type. — Paul Faith 1. Larnbs. — Anne Ritchie 1, Lois Robertson 2, Rae Bradbury 3. Nine entries. Gardens. — Val. Johnson 1, JanS Best 2, Ross M. Marino 3. Five entries.
