Resentment at the action of the an aua], meeting of the New Zealand Ama•teur Athletie Association in deciding that biazers should not .be awarded tb athletie offieials at the "British Empire Games, was expressed at a meeting of the Auckland eentre tonight when the report of the delegates, Messrs H. L. Towers and S. Billman, was presented. Mr H. J. T. McNeil asked how the question of biazers had been reopened after the previous motion granting the iwarding of biazers, had been passed. He asked whethcr the heljon had been in brder. % Mr J. M. Diekie moved that the Auckland eentre, through tlt^ New Zea •and Association, apply to the New Zea .and Empire Games Associhtion for peruiission to obtain an appropriate badgc bearing the wqrds • 1 ' 1950 Empire ^airies, Athletie Oificial, ' ' for use On a black blazer. An amendment that the Auckland ■enfcre proeure a special badge was defeated and the motion was carried by 't heavy majority.
