British Labour Party's Coming Decisions
Received Monday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 21. The Daily Telegraph's political cdryespohdbnt says impdrtant decisions bn the election policy will be taken at a meeting on Wednesday of the natiohkl executive of the Labour Party. The project to natioiialise industrial insuraiice is almost certain td be uTopped. There is considerable oppoSi-tion-to it among the moderate Socialist^ as well as from the cooperative party whose own big msurance enterpriSb would be involved. A compromiSb plan is likely to he substituted to appease the Ministers and Party leadfers wli'd strohgly advocate insuranbe nationalisation. It is probable that in the finkl Bd'cialist mkiiifestd which %ill be published early in the New Year, the main stress will be on measures to redffi^ prices and improve the distribution bf food and consumer goods.
