The highlight bf thfe Npvember meeting bf the Ihakara Worhen's InstitUte was a Uemonstration of lcmg a fruit cake by Mr. A. C. Hennerley. His work was folloWed With Iriterest and fehthusiasm, and at the conclusion he was accorded a nearty vote bf thanks. MrS: TUrrier presided and wfelcomed the good attendance of rhembers. Apologies fot absence were received from Mesdames Rolstoh, Lancaster and Hofhe. Th'e institute's oldest membe^ Mrs. Johnson, who celebrates her 90th birthday this month, was presented with a box of flowers and accorded musical honours. A bring-ahd-bUy stall Was conducted by Mesdames Dittmer and Doyle.
