Championship First Round At Hautere Range
Last Saturday saw the completion of the first round in the championship series, with L. E. Monk winning the trophy. C. Cobb was the highest scorer of the day. The weather was really ideal for shooting but seemed to trick even the most experienced shotsmen at times. Scores for over 500 and 600 yards are as follows: C. Cobb, 47 — 46—93, L. E. Monk 46—45—91, F. Freeman 47 — 44 — 91, H. A. Lumsden 47—41—88, N. S. Monk 45— 43—88, R. L.' Monk 45—41—86, F. H. Monk 45—40—85, H. Taylor 45 —37—82, R. J. Meagher 43—38— 81, J. Clark 41—39—80. H. Stowers 42—37—78, C. Storm 41—37—78, D. Ballantine 39—35 — 74, D. Ashwortn 34 — 38 — 72 and J. Wilson 39 — 27 — 66.
