Elderly Woman Killed By Passing Car
CHRISTCHURCH, Nov." 17." While walking along the Main North Road about two miles north of Kaiapoi this afternoon, an elderly vydman was knocked dowii by a motor car and suifered injuries from which ^he died in a few minutes. She was: . 0 MRS. CLARA MAY BURROWS, whose homb is about two miles north of Kaiapoi, o Mrs. Burrows had been to Kaiapoi aiid was returning home, When the Bceident happened about 4 p.m., she was only 15 yards from her gate. Mrs. Burrows is survived by her husband and an adult. family.
