Film of Trieste Includes New Zealanders
Received Thursday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 17. Several glimpses of men and tanics of the Second New Zealand Division are shown in "Trieste — Probiem Uity, ' ' the latest of "this modern age" ntonthly fllm reviews made by the Rank organisation. After tracing tl;e history and importanee of Trieste, the film fihows new Zealanders rolling into Trieste in April, 1945, to be greetea with enthusiasm by the inhabitants. One shat pictures Sfr Bernard FreVberg greeting the Yugoslav cominander whose troops had entered just previously from the east. Subsequent scenes show New Zealand tanks 'anu i patrols on guard against truculent j Yugoslavs and finallj' there is a review of conditions and .probiems facing this j trouble spot today.
