A suggestion from the committee of the Kai Iwi School that the dates for the term holidays should .be 'altered to coincide with farming operations was declined without discussion at yesterday's meeting of the Wanganui Education Board. The committee asked that t-he holidays should be altered so that they "coincide with the holiday period . aVailable to dalry farming parents." The committee suggested that ihe exact date could best be decided at a meeting of parents "and teachers " and stated that it felt that, as Kai Iwi was largely a dairying district, the proposed alteration woUld have many advantages. 1
