Defence Rifle Club Begins Competition Shoots
The competition series of shoots was commenced on Saturday by the Levin Defence Rifle Club, the range being 300 yards. Conditions were good and the standard of shooting fair. In addition to the .303 shooting, a small bore range was opeiied, the distance being 50 yards. Scores were: — P. R. Catley 48 — 46—94, S. L. Lumsden 47—47—94, P. Donald 45—46—91, F. R. Lumsden 43-,43— 86, S. C. Aanensen 40 — 45 — 85, E. J. McLeavey 37 — 41—78 and D. Standish 34—40—74. Small bore scores were: — Mrs. M. F. Fletc'her 91 — 90 — 181, Mrs. A. L. -.Lumsden 86—88 — 174, Mrs. E. Lacey : 79 — 92 — 171, Mrs. F. J. Grahaim 83 — 71—154, Mrs. S. L. Lumsden 68 — 84 — 152 and Mrs. R. G. Gurney 70 — 79 — 149. t The annual presentation of trophies will be made on the range pext Saturday. Shooting will commence at 9.30 a.m.
