. AUCKLAND, Nov. 12. . The • question of the reintrbduction of capital punishment was one to which he could not give a "yes" or ■'^no " answer, Mr J. Freeman, Labour candidate fo't Roskill, told a questioner at his meeting at Three Kings. "I support the policy of the Labour Government in the abolition of capital punishment, * ' Mr Freeman said. "However, some of the crimes that have been perpetrated in the pasf few years make me f eel that some Mtitkde _ should be allowed in this matter.. I not make a ba'rd "and fast stand on it. There are some people who -forfeit their right to live by the crimes they commit and
it should be possible to consider sucix cases on their merits."
