Given One Penny Per Week Compensation
WELLINGTON, Nov. 15. A penny a week compensation has been awardecj a Lower Hutt truck driver in a judgment issued today by the Compensation Court Ihe award, however, is a'suspensory one until it can be determined what plaintiff's future loss is likely to be. The action . was brought by James Tinddl Atkinson against the Hutt Tirnber and Hardwarfe Gorfipany, Ltd. Plaintiff chipped the socket of his right hip in a motor aecideht on the Hutt Road in April, 1948. He claimed that he was unable to resume lorry driving after the accident and that he Was -entitled to compensation for the loss of future earnings.
