After many months of preparation ,the Leyin Scout Committee and Levin Miriiature Rifle Club are now moving forward in a united effort to raise funds for the erectiori bf thfe Hall fbr t|ieir cbitibirifea use. To be situated on a site to be made available to the combined bodies oh Plkyford Park, its esthiiated fcost is £15.00, The hall .WlU be fouilt With voJuhtary labour. W. Parton, who gave a wash-h£taid basin for use in the hall. The cbmmittee is further greatly ihdfebted to Mr. J. Harvey Who made thfe haiidsome dondtion pf £50. These will shortly appear in, ihe. show wiridow of Messfs Quihn's Stores, Ltd. It is the iiitehtibn of tne caaripaign committee to acknoWledge aii dbriatibns to the fund through the Press; donations ihay be lefL with the treasurer, Mr. M. Wright, Oxford Street, or with any member of the committee. On December 14 there is to be a picture evbning in thfe Regent Theatre held for the benefit of the hall funds aird sponsored by the Levin Rotary Club. The title of the film is "Black Beauty." Scoiits ahd feubs will hold a ticket canvass on Saturday, November 26.
