Sensational Sequel To Loss Of Flying-boat
SYDNEY, Nov. 12. Bryan Wills Monkton, 34, the managing director of Trans-Ocean A-irways, has been c-harged in Court with destroying a Catalina flying-boat owned by Qautas Empire Airways. Monkton was remapded until Deeember 7 on £200 bail^ The charge arose' out of the destruction on August 27 on a Catalina valued at £24,000 while it was moored at Rose Bay base. There w?ls an explosiort aboard the Catalina which caught fire and was destroyed. Mr E. M. Robson, solicitor for Monkton, told the Courtj^ "Monkton is well known and occupies a very high exeeutive position in the aircraft business of this State. The charge is utterly fantastie, and Monkton intends to plead not guilty. He has a complete answer
