Miniature Rifle Shoot
The last shoot of its final series was fired recently by the Ohau Miniature Rifle Club. Competition was keen throughout and shooting was of a high standard. The win- j ner was F. Catley, next in order j being L. Anyan, W. Mudge and S. ! Aanensen. Scores were: — S. Aanensen; 100.97, F. Catley 99.97, L. Anyan, 98.99, W. Mudge 98.94, H. Wehipei- i hana 97.98, J. Horn 97.96, V. Hun- j ter 97.95, J. G. Horn 96.93, E. Findsen 95.98, J. McCartney 95.98,, Miss C. Hunter 95.91, C. Eagle 94.91, R. Wehipeihana 92.97, A. Steventon 92.71, Mrs. Aanensen 87.83 and Miss McCartney 84.84. During the iatter part of the season a series of postal shoots were held, the club winning all three. Scores were: — Ohau 1454, Upper Hutt 1437; Oha.u 1449, Nelson 1419; Ohau 1456, Wanganui R.S.A. 1436. The possible in each case was 1500. Formeriy a wellknown rifleman in the Horowhenua district, A. R. Tantrum was top scorer for Nelson with 98.
