Although no official Labour eandidate has yet been announced for Western Mapri the nomination of a eandidate understood t'o be Independent Labour has been received by the returning offieer. The nomiailtion is that of Mr. Uruterangina Wakarua, of Waitotara, secretary o.f the Maori Trust Board at Hawera. The second nofninatioff dlready in for Western Maori is of the independent, Mr. Tauwhare Te Wirihana, farmer, of Taihape.
