Permissiou to stage a contest for a purse of up to £750 is to be souglit by the Auckland Boxing Association iu its maldiing' of ('larrii* Gordon (Otaluihu') uhd Gcorge Kapeen (Australia) in a wclterwcight open-air contest in the uear future. Thc association will also soek authorit.v l'rom the New Zealand Boxing ('onnc'rl, the controlling body, to divide ihe gate 011 a basis of 50 per eent to the boxers and 50 jier eent to the Comnmnity Sunshine Association. Kapeen won n disputed decision in the (irst contest between the two in the Town Ilall recently.
