Service Stations Will Not Open On Saturdays
WELLINGTON, November 3. Service stations will not open on Saturdays as a result of the notice isr sued by the Oi! Fuel Controller revqking the Saturday morning •closing' *;i estrictions. said an ofiicial of the New Zealand Retail Motor Trade Assoeiation todav. The hours of emergency Jtiti-ms would be extended. however, and in iespect of Wellington they will be open from 8 a.m. to noon as from next Hj.lurday. Because of rationing and cos's and the hours involved the assoeiation has resolved not to open additional s'.aii ms on Saturdays, he said. Service -tai-.-n employees * were already working 54 hours a week and the associatio'i did not wish to lengthen their lionis.
