Attacked by a bull on his farm on Buller Road, John • Roche, 39, married, was admitted to the Buller Hospital in a serious condition with extensive injuries to the abdomen and chest. It appears that Mr. Roche was endeavouring to free the bull's chain whiclrhad become entangled after being stamped into some soft ground when he was. first attacked. Then he was chased and again gored as he was climbing through a fence. Mr. Roche was able to make his way to his house only with difficulty because of injuries and loss of bloo'd. There he received assistance and was rushed to hospital. His condition this afternoon was serious.
