Personal. Mrs. W. McLeavey is on holiday in Auckland. Mr. T. Perkins, of Rangiuru, is an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital. Mrs. J. Harris and her small daughter, of Hawera, are holiday - ing with Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Monk, Lupin Road. Messrs O. Hasse and F. Stupples, both patients in the Palmerston North Hospital, are reported to foe showing definite signs of improvement. The name of Helen Southgate, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Southgate, Otaki Railway, appears in the list of successful performers in the senior (grade 8) Royal Academy musical examinations. An Oportunist. Two kiddies playing hop-scotch on Saturday caused a reai laugli. One was called inside tne gate to do a small job. The other very considerately offered to take the first one's turn. When the firsc one returned he was told: "You're. out; you trod on the line." Naturally an argument lollowed. Ci*azy House. A free picture shown to children on Saturday afternoon was entitled "Crazy House." The attendance is reported to have be'en an all time record, and with fiaee ice cream, lolly scrambles and , a distribution of bailoons, which made all the noises the young fry love, the summing up of some of the parents who accompanied iheir family was that it truly was a crazy house. Nevertheless the kiddies had a royal time. Car Removed. After attending a concert on Friday night in the Anglican Hali, a Te Horo resident received a rude shock when he found his car missing. The shock was not lessened when he read in Saturday's paper that a car had been deserted in the vicinity of the Rimutakas. His peace of mind was restored soon after when it was reported that his car had been found in Tasman Road, about half a mile from where it was taken. Luckily for the owner, the car had certain perculiarities and apparently it stalled when being turned and could not be started again, the key being turned oii when the car was found. '
