WELLINGTON, October 22. Holiday racing on Monday (Labour Day) will not only be confined to the co'ncluding day of the Wellington spring meeting at Trentham, but also to Waverley, Waikato, North Canterbury and Qhn^aru., Form at Waverley is fairly well- distributed, as also is the case'ht Waikato, but today's running at the Banks Peninsula fixture should greatly assist for Monday's North Canterbury meeting, as the same horses are to race again.
* The Waverley Cup gives Miss Bairnsfather an opportunity to make amends for recent failures. She Is very fit at present and the weaker field should be within Iier measure. Mr. Pym raced wellat Trentham and if sent to contest the Waverley Cup may >be an upsetting fac'tor. Ihe Missioner has not Iived up to expectations, but In this field might show to advantage. Of the others Ngakoti and Parlous read the best. Prospects for Monday are:
