The Levante Show
^ Commencing on Wednesday, October 26, the Levante Show will open their Levin season of four mghts in a huge marquee on the section opposite the Levin Hotel. Headed by the Great Levante, world famed magician, this company of top-line variety acts comes to New Zealand direct from a re-cord-toreaking three-year tour of Australia. Included in the company are Paulet.e, known in London and Paris as the "Lady of the Fans," who also features her famous "Dance of the. Golden God." With Nat Hanley, English comedian, and Will Duffy, trick cyciist, in charge of the comedy side of the programme, the audience are provid-1 ed with more than their share of laughter. Fine singers, such as Tom Richards, Doreen Udell and Yvonne Carrier, are a delight to all who love good music. With Max Barry, ventriloquist, Marcia Farrar, contortionist, Bernard and Sonia, acrobats, Gladys Cole, hand shadows, Marie Austin, dancer, Shirley Goldsmith , and a charming ballet, the theatre lovers of Levin would be well advised to bbok early and thus avoid disappointment.
