Over 1000 people, among them a large number from the Horowhenua district, attended the second annual ploughing match of the Manawatu District Young Farmers' Clubs at the property of Mrs. F. De Burgh, Wilson's Road, Sanson, on Saturday. Mr. M. H. Oram, M.P. for Manawatu, and patron of the Manawatu Young Farmers' Clubs, was present and presented the prizes. In the above photograph Mr. W. Dear, who farms at Rongotea, and was second in class D, is seen demonstrating a three-furrow hydraulic plough.
