Waverley Cup Candidates Worked Well

They were sent along over a mile ahout 60 feet out from the rails and all worked well. Voltaic was to have raced at Trentham but he rieked a stifle and is expected to be on the easy list for some weelts. Mission was ridden by W. L. Aitken. ! Lord Hoiland by A. Temperton, and I Ngakoti by G. Ii. Tattersall, Mission lx.dug on tlie inner and Ngakoti on • the outer. Diplomacy (Aitken), looking just as well as slie did before lier win- at Opaki, and Battle Strife (Tattersall) were lcept to even time for the first three of their mile but they were speeded up to run tlie last iive in 1.9 2-5 to complete in 1.54 2-5.
