Malta Gives Amethyst Grand Welcome
Received Tuesday, 10.35 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 18. Reuter's Valetta correspondent says thousands of Maltese lincd the grand harbour breakwater to welcome the British frigate Amethyst on its way home after its escape down the Yangtze. Soldiers and sailors at all the harbour bases cheered as the frigate passed." Bands played and aircraft saluted in hononr overhead.
