Rau kin who asked for the re-introduction of military training in Australia the LabOfir Minister of Defence (Mr Dedman) Said ift the House of Eepresentatives: ' ' America *s industrial poWer and not her supply of atomic bombs will preveftt any major war within the next four, five or possibiy 10 years. "I do not agree with the Statement reported to have been made in Milbourne by General Stufdee that wai with Eussia is inevitable. Informed people believe that war within the next five years is unlikely. "If there is nb gteat war in teft years the people living behind the iron curtain may by then have realised that there is no point in making war against the rest of the world. "
